Το Dorchester Pot ήταν ένα μεταλλικό αγγείο που ανακτήθηκε σε δύο κομμάτια μετά από μια έκρηξη που χρησιμοποιήθηκε για να διαλύσει το βράχο στο Meeting House Hill, στο Dorchester, Μασαχουσέτη το 1852. Σύμφωνα με το κείμενο που ανατυπώθηκε από το Boston Transcript, μια τοπική εφημερίδα Στις 5 Ιουνίου 1852 Επιστημονική Αμερική, [1] τα δύο κομμάτια βρέθηκαν, χαλαρά ανάμεσα στα συντρίμμια που ρίχτηκαν από την έκρηξη. Προφανώς, από τις θέσεις των δύο τεμαχίων αυτού του δοχείου, ανάμεσα στα θραύσματα της έκρηξης, προέκυψε ότι αυτό το δοχείο είχε καταστραφεί από ένα στερεό πουλί που συγκαταλέγεται στο Roxbury Conglomerate από περίπου 10 πόδια κάτω από την επιφάνεια.
